National AD/HD Awareness Day is a widely celebrated, high-profile media event. It helps get information about the

disorder out to the American public. It aims at countering the stigma, myths and misinformation surrounding AD/HD.

AD/HD Awareness Day was started in 2004 by  ADDA, complete with passage of a US Senate Resolution that

recognized AD/HD as a major public health concern.
